20 things

Mya turns 20 months old today. In honor of that, here are 20 things you may or may not have known about this little ball of fire with mullet-like hair.

1. She makes awesome faces. (see pictures below taken one morning while eating toast)
2. She stares people down when she first meets them. Won't even crack a smile during the first encounter.
3. Says hi to every single person who walks by our house. Usually it's from inside so they can't hear and she doesn't' understand why they're not saying hi back.
4. Loves to go potty on the big girl potty, but wants her socks off while she goes.
5. Throws absolute fits when we have to come inside. Most of the time I end up putting in in the middle of the floor in the living room and walking away so she doesn't get hurt.
6. When she's hiding, it's because she's eating something she's not supposed to. Most of the time it's crayons, chalk, play-doh, hungry hungry hippos game pieces or money.
7. Obsesses over kitties in books. Chris read books to her for 10-15 minutes last night and when he came out after putting her to bed, he said they only got through one book. The kitten book over and over and over.
8. Randomly wakes up in the middle of the night and when I go to see if everything is okay, she says "Light". She wants me to read books at 3am. This from the girl who hated books until a few months ago is a pretty big step.
9. Is awful at Hy-vee. won't even touch the cookie from the bakery ladies which was my only hope with Max when he was this age. She's a chip girl, so if they have the tortilla chips out for testing, we're money.
10. Only wants to walk in parking lots and doesn't want to hang onto your hand. I've offered her up for adoption a few times on the way out of Hy-Vee.
11. Has a routine down when she gets into her bed. She rearranges all the blankets just so and then lays down on one of them. She has about 6 in her crib, but only one favorite. Thank you video monitor for letting us watch this every night!
12. When I can't find her, I always check the bathrooms first. She loves to take toilet paper, dip it in the toilet water and then clean with it. She wipes down the stool, the floor, the cupboards, her tummy, etc.
13. Hates peanut butter or anything with peanut butter in it. Can't believe she's my daughter.
14. Runs way faster when she's naked.
15. Loves to have a purse on her shoulder, but raises her arm straight up the whole time she's carrying it so the purse doesn't fall off her shoulder. It's really funny.
16. Is still on the small side, but has a huge belly. Has what has been referred to as a Buddha belly.
17. Understands exactly what Max wants and then runs as fast as she can to get there first.
18. Absolutely 100% terrified of car washes and the fed ex truck.
19. Takes out her pony tails and then hands me the pony band with a shitty grin on her face.
20. She thinks belching and passing gas are the coolest thing ever.
